Cacao nibs are crushed seeds from the Cacao plant. It is these seeds that are the key ingredient in chocolate. While not technically chocolate themselves, nibs do have a wonderful coco-like aroma to them, and will provide a huge coco nose and a very subdued coco-like flavor to any beer. You can use them in the secondary similiar to dry hopping, or in the boil. If used in the boil nibs will add bitterness to the beer.
