Recipe Notes
Steep grain in muslin at 153 for 30 min in a 3 to 5 gal stove top pot or use larger for full wort boil.
Remove grains and fill pot with water (I use no-name bottled spring water). Bring to boil and remove from heat. Completely stir extract and malto-dextrin into water. Return to heat.
Boil 60 min using hop schedule and add 1 tsp Irish moss at last 10 min.
Cool wort and pour into primary. Top off with water to achieve a 5 gallon batch.
Primary 7 days at 65 to 70
Secondary (clearing) 7 days
Bottle with 4.5 oz corn sugar, let sit for 2-3 weeks , chill and enjoy.
I've brew this beer several times and has been a hit amongst my craft brew fans. It has a nice palate and wonderful German hop bitterness.
I haven't tried it all-grain yet because it is consistantly great and it gives me a brew session when I don't have extra time.
