Recipe Notes
Modified from Jon Plise's. Subbed CaraMunich for Aromatic and removed Roasted Barley to get a lighter beer (more like Scotch maybe). Subbed EKG for Northern Brewer hops. Added biscuit malf for flavor since English Pale extract is unavailable.
Shown with Scottish Ale for proper attenuation. If using London Ale yeast (repitched from Porter / Mild), then pay attention to low fermentation temps. Too high and you'll get too many esters. Too low and the yeast will drop out. Try between 62 F and 64 F.
Without Biscuit malt in calcs (when steeped adds no gravity points):
OG 1.099
FG 1.029 (71 % attenuation)
IBU 18.6
SRM 15.09 (steeped Biscuit should add color: 17.24 SRM)
ABV 9.17
