Name: Dead Guy Ale from the You Can Brew It Podcast

Recipe Type: all grain

Yeast: Pacman yeast. (Wyeast 1764) fermented at 60F to start and warm up through fermentation.

Yeast Starter:

Batch Size (Gallons): 6 gallons (post boil)

Pre-Boil Gravity: 1.051

Original Gravity: 1.065

Final Gravity: 1.014

Boiling Time (Minutes): 90

Primary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp): Ferment at 60 f for 2 weeks

Secondary Fermentation (# of Days & Temp):

ABV: 6.7%

IBU: 49.4 (Rager)

1.53 lbs. Carastan Light 13-17 (substitute Caramalt light or Crystal 15) or (Briess Caramel 40)

Hops:

1.41 oz. Perle (7.5% alpha) at 90 minutes (can sub German Northern Brewer)

1.13 oz. Sterling (7% alpha) at 1 minute (can sub Centennial)

Instructions:

Mash (single infusion) at 152 for 60 minutes

Mash out at 168 for 10 minutes

Sparge for 170 for 45 minutes.

All recipes are 6 gallons post-boil, 70% efficiency, Morey for color, 15% evaporation, 7.27 gallons preboil, Rager IBU, and most hops are in grams not ounces. Most, if not all recipes are primary only (no secondary).
