Recipe Notes

mash for 60 mins at 152 deg. 1:1 water (quart) to grain (lb) (set strike water to 170ish) Decoction mashing is recommended, just because it's fun to do and it gives you something to do while waiting.

This isn't a beer for IPA lovers. It's a beer for people who love to pretend they like beer by drinking the hoppiest brew they can, and claim to know all there is to know about beer. Seek these people out (everyone knows one or two) and watch them drink this, their reactions are priceless! They suddenly realize that those breweries only over-hop to mask an otherwise inferior product and what they are drinking is truly a dominant beer.

Even if you ARE a hop-head, (and I am), this beer is almost too much. So why make it? To challenge your perception of hop flavors and to learn to play with the individual characteristics of hops to achieve a truly amazing beer. When you hit that stage of tweaking, you are sure to create some unbelievable beers. Email me your thoughts at Einenhoden@hotmail.com
